Welcome to the Unitarian Society of Ridgewood, a place where you will find inspiration in the richness of diverse beliefs and the power of community.
For 129 years, we have offered a caring religious community — and a great place for adults and children to find friendship, inspiration, and a deeper meaning to life. We welcome and respect difference and diversity, and encourage personal spiritual growth and social action.
Of particular interest to newcomers may be the following: Covenant Groups, Adult Religious Education classes, and the Wider World Circle, which maintains a table during coffee hour and is a hub of activity. A Newcomer Brunch is offered a few times each year – new members and regular attendees alike are welcome to come and find out more about Unitarian Universalism. We offer regularly scheduled films on social justice issues, exceptional concerts and art exhibitions.
Other opportunities to get involved include:
- Annual Service Auction
- Book Group (One Book USR)
- Citizens for Swimming
- Environmental Justice Team
- Racial Justice Team
- Religious Education Program for Children, Youth & Adults
- Reproductive Justice Team
- Zen Meditation
Our Resource Handbook contains a complete list of USR activities and committees. Please feel free to contact the office for a copy with further details and contact information.
