UU FaithAction NJ (formerly the UU Legislative Ministry of NJ) will be holding a Regional Conference in Montclair on November 12th and we encourage members of the Unitarian Society of Ridgewood to attend.
The Conference will be held on the Sunday after the upcoming state-wide election on the preceding Tuesday and is titled “New Political Realities for Justice-Making in NJ and Beyond”. The idea of the conference is that the change in the gubernatorial administration will hopefully present opportunities going forward to push for policies that support Unitarian Universalist values and we want input from our fellow UUs about the sorts of things that should be our priorities. According, it is our plan to meet in Fletcher Hall at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation at Montclair (67 Church Street) at 12:30 PM on that Sunday. Lunch will be served and an undoubtedly robust discussion will follow. We plan to finish no later than 3:00.
It is vitally important that we hear from as many of you as possible and we ask that you put the word out to your congregation. As we are serving lunch, we will need to get a count of the number of attendees. It would be useful to have list of names from you no later than November 6th. Your members may choose to RSVP directly to Rob Gregson at ExecDir@UULMNJ.org or 973-908-0211.
