I’m calling today to urge you to support our public schools. Don’t allow Governor Christie to cut school funding in the 2015-16 state budget.
NJ schools are already underfunded by billions of dollars. How can we expect our children to be successful if their schools don’t have adequate resources to provide them with the programs, teachers and supports they need?
I understand that NJ’s economy isn’t strong, but our leaders need to prioritize schoolchildren. You need to provide increased funding in accordance with the school funding formula and put NJ back on track to full formula funding.
I urge you to make it your priority to protect schoolchildren in next year’s budget.
