Viola, the Story of a Song and the UU Hero Who Inspired It

Please join us this Sunday, March 26, 2017 at 10:00 AM for a lay service with Arlan Feiles: “Viola, the Story of a Song and the UU Hero Who Inspired It”

On the 52nd anniversary of the Selma voting rights march, we will hear the story of Viola Gregg Liuzzo, a participant who was murdered by the KKK on the final night of the march. Years later, her story gripped and inspired a NJ based songwriter. The song he wrote ultimately led to a key role in honoring Viola’s legacy.

Musicians: Singer-songwriter, Arlan Feiles – music and comments on Viola Gregg Liuzzo; Rick Sawyer & Dave Spungen, guitar and vocals; Ron Levy, piano.

All are welcome! Hope to see you there.
