Sunday Service, Feb. 19th – Celebrate Black History Month

Frederick Douglass (1818-1895)

“I Would Not Stultify Myself” – Rev. Dr. Anthony Johnson, Interim Minister.
Frederick Douglass (1818-1895) was a slave, a free black, a preacher, a leading abolitionist, an advocate for women’s rights, and a religious liberal. This Message will focus on Douglass’s life and, especially, how his ideas about religion changed through his life. Some would include Douglass in the Humanist pantheon. This is a service in celebration of Black History Month.

Our services begin at 10am, last an hour, and include music, readings and an address by our minister or an invited speaker. Religious Education is offered for all children from nursery through high school.

Musicians: Richard Hobson, baritone; Ron Levy, piano.
